Babereki SACCOS was established as a result of a Botswana Public Employee Union (BOPEU) Congress resolution and was duly registered in accordance with the Co-operatives Act, 2013 on the 06th of October 2015.

Become A Member
For admission as a member, a person shall possess any one of the following qualifications and shall be eligible for membership:
- Be an employee in the public and private sector, with companies that have signed an agreement with Babereki SACCOS.
- Not be a member of any other SACCOS registered in Botswana except for with prior approval of the Director as per section 29 of the Co-operative Society Act.
- Active members who retired or resigned from employment in the public sector where Government has financial interest.
- Is not less than 18 years of age.
- Is of good character.
